Read the full article here. 5/1/09 Molly Przeworski quoted in groundbreaking genetics study - Newly appointed to the Department of Ecology & Evolution, Professor Przeworski has been quoted in a story about genetic diversity amongst Africans. Research conducted by Przeworski and her colleagues at other universites has indicated that Africa may have the most genetically diverse peoples of any region in the world. Read the full story here. 4/23/09 UofC achieves top national ranking in Ecology & Evolutionary Biology - The University of Chicago ranked first in U.S.News & World Report's special issue of Best Graduate Schools for ecology/evolutionary biology. The Pritzker School of Medicine ranks thirteenth in the nation for research-focused medical schools. The University also ranks in the top 20 for Biological Sciences. 4/15/09 Congrats to the IJPS! - The International Journal of Plant Sciences was recently one of three University of Chicago journals listed among the Special Library Association's "100 Most Influential Journals in Biology and Medicine over the past 100 years." The IJPS is edited in part by Manfred Ruddat, Professor Emeritus in the Department of Ecology & Evolution. Journals were voted onto the list by 680+ members of the SLA's Miomedical and Life Sciences Division.
