Thesis Advisor: Tim Wootton

I am interested in soil microbial ecology, specifically with regard to Arbuscular Mycorrhizal Fungi (AMF). I am studying their impact on plant diversity and the factors that control AMF community composition such as soil and plant composition and successional processes. My research is performed primarily in the greenhouse using plants, soil, and fungi taken from the Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory prairie restoration located in Batavia, IL.
